Devastatingly damaged Baroque and late Gothic paintings

The restoration of wall paintings sometimes becomes a pleasant social event for colleagues who would not otherwise have met even after many years.

A team of professional restorers was assembled for the project to save the Minorite monastery complex in Český Krumlov. The restoration of the wall paintings in the Chapel of St. Wolfgang included the combination of Gothic and Baroque mural paintings,  Renaissance plaster and stencils in the corridors and fragments of paintings in the ambulatory.
